LENDING SERVICES
The library will be closed from Dec, 20, 2018 until the reopening of the museum in May 2020. The books are not available during this periode. If you have any questions, please contact bibliothek@freud-museum.at
Library card
You need a library card to borrow books. Different cards are available:
For pupils: free card
Day-ticket: 3€ (valid for 2 weeks)
Annual card: 25€
Reduced student annual card: 15€
Reminder fees
A fee (50cent per book per week) will be charged if you forget to return a book
Interlibrary Loan
Holders of library cards for the Library of Psychoanalysis may order books from libraries outside of Vienna (within Austria or, if not available in Austria, within Europe), if the reqired books are not available in any library in Vienna.
To research, please use the search engine provided by the Austrian Library Network, or the Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog.
Please keep in mind that for interlibrary loans, fees occur according to the respective institutions.
Information for libraries
The Library of Psychoanalysis lends books under the following conditions:
- Within Austria: 4 week loan period with the possibility to extend the loan period for another 4 weeks. The fee for interlibrary loans is 3€ per book.
- Other countries: 10 week loan period without the possibility to extend this period. The fee for interlibrary loans is 6€ per book.

We reserve the right to decline interlibrary loan requests for certain books due to their physical condition or their significance for the institution.
